Business in the Community - Adapting to Climate Change

Business in the Community offers a free service to North East companies

This service is aimed at encouraging businesses to take action to reduce their vulnerability to the effects of severe weather and ensure they can remain in business following a severe weather event. As well as offering straight forward advice, businesses can receive a resilience health check report and one to one assistance with writing a business continuity plan.

The service is specifically aimed at:

  • Companies that have no business continuity plan.

  • Companies whose interests, products, services or processes are potentially weather influenced.

  • Companies involved in making decisions with long-term consequences.

  • Companies that are already (or have already been) affected by severe weather.

The free service is available to North East companies to help you in:

  • Completing a Business Resilience Health Check Report.

  • Creating a Business Continuity Plan.

  • Identifying risks from severe weather and climate change.

  • Investigating potential opportunities form severe weather and climate change.
