Who We Are

Tees Valley Green Business Network

The Tees Valley Green Business Network is led by a range of local organisations with an interest in supporting businesses and encouraging improved environmental performance:

  • Business Link
  • Energy Saving Trust
  • Environment Agency
  • Envirowise
  • ONE North East
  • RENEW
  • Tees Valley Local Authorities
  • The North East Chamber of Commerce
  • University of Teesside – Clemance

By working together these organisations intend to provide a better service to Tees Valley businesses.

The Green Business Network aims to:

  • To promote the business benefits that result from more sustainable, resource efficient practices.
  • To help Tees Valley businesses in implementing resource efficiency measures
  • To promote an environmentally aware business culture within the Tees Valley and reduce the impact of business on the environment

Aims and Goals

Businesses can make big cost savings and help the environment by reducing waste, using less energy and water, using raw materials more efficiently. Being more environmentally responsible can also help to improve a company’s public image and gain more business.

As the environment attracts more attention, as costs such as waste and energy rise and as major purchasers and the public scrutinise environmental credentials, it is increasingly important for businesses to look at their environmental performance.

There is a vast amount of information and help available if you know where to look. However, it is apparent that businesses need more practical help to take action on environmental issues and many have no idea where to turn for information. The Tees Valley Green Business Network has been set up to help businesses find the information they need to take advantage of the commercial benefits that exist.

This site provides information on the main issues that businesses need to consider.

If you cannot find the information you need, contact us and we will answer your query or point you in the right direction.
